Lewis R Hester Jr.

Mr. Lewis “Bob” R Hester Jr., age 63, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, February 2, 2018. Mr. Hester was born on November 20, 1954 to Patricia and Lewis R Hester Sr. in Louisville Kentucky. He was a member of the NRA and an avid gun enthusiast.  He loved to shoot guns and even reload his own shells.  He was a very generous and caring man. He loved people and was always helping his friends and family. He would give you the shirt off his back even if he had nothing else.  Mr. Hester loved to play Santa Clause for needy children at Christmas and was always taking extra food to the elderly.  He was a true “good Samaritan” and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother Patricia “Hinton” Hester.

He leaves to cherish his memory his father Lewis R Hester Sr.; 3 sisters, Linda Sue Hester Walden (Wayne S. Walden) and Mary Kathryn Hester Atherton (Terry) and Laura Hester Morrison (Scott); 4 nieces, Amanda, Rebecca, Samantha, and Sabrina; 4 nephews, Steven, Michael, Ryan and Nicholas; several aunts and uncles; and a host of other family and friends. 

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.). Friends may pay their respects from 1:00 pm on Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
