Lillian M. (Wells) Farmer

Mrs. Lillian M. (Wells) Farmer, age 88, of Louisville and formerly of Willisburg, KY, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. Mrs. Farmer was born in Willisburg on September 16, 1930 to the late Jess and Lelia Wells. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a Field Compliance Officer with OSHA, a stenographer and clerk with the Department of Health and studied for two years at Freed- Hardeman University in Tennessee.

Among those who preceded her in death are, her beloved husband, Cornelius “Red” Farmer; five brothers and six sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Fred Farmer (Lisa); stepdaughter, Joyce Self (Bruce) and their three sons; her grand dog, Snoopy; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12pm on Saturday, May 4, 2019 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Mt. Washington (Hwy. 44 east at 123 Winning Colors Dr.) Burial will follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 2pm until 8pm and on Saturday from 9am until the time of service at the funeral home.
