Lovell "Pete" H. Jordan, Jr.

Mr. Lovell H. “Pete” Jordan, Jr., age 75, of Louisville, entered eternal life on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. Mr. Jordan was born in Jeffersonville, IN on November 27, 1945 to the late Lovell H. Jordan Sr. and Lizzie Belle Jordan.

Among those who preceded him in death are, his beloved wife, Jeannette A. Jordan; brother, Melvin and sisters, Elizbeth and Janeva.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Andy Taylor (Crystal Taylor) and Andy’s children, Ben, Marie, Faith, Kenneth, Leslie, Kody and Ayzia along with several great- grandchildren; daughter, Cheryl Jordan (David Vito) and Cheryl’s son, Ben; daughter, Rebecca Steffler and his one and only favorite son-in-law, Cory T. Steffler along with Rebecca’s children, Jonathan Steffler, Travis Steffler, Amanda Steffler and 17 great- grandchildren; daughter, Jamie Monroe (Manuel) and Jamie’s children, Chazmine Lee, Tara Alfaro, Richard Monroe and Chaz’aiah Hardin along with 10 great- grandchildren; son, Bruce Jordan (Ashley) and grandchild, Shaun; Pete’s dear friend and brother, Randell Shelton and a host of other dear family and friends from Chicago to Louisville.

Mr. Jordan will miss his oldest and dearest friend, George Nevills.

The family of Lovell H. Jordan would like to give a special thanks to the following loving people: his granddaughter, Christy for your loving and kind heart and all you’ve done; His special friend Priscilla- for everything; the residents of St. Cecilia of Portland for their kindness and compassion of our loving father, “Pete”.

I will miss you Red.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 25, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
