Mabel Lee Pollard

Mrs. Mabel Lee Pollard, age 89, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born on August 20, 1932, to the late Robert Coy Montgomery and Bessie Mae (Ireland) Montgomery in Louisville, Kentucky. Mrs. Pollard enjoyed bingo, reading and crossword puzzles, but most importantly she loved her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Pollard Sr; son, Raymond Pollard Jr; sisters, Mary Elizabeth “Tookie” Cox, Joetta Smith, Opal St Romain, and Lillian Bailey; and brother, Robert “Sonny” Montgomery.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Sharon Brown and Barbara Berry (James); grandchildren, Jodi Brown, Russell Berry (Julie), Erin Gower (David), Julie Pollard; great-grandchildren, Kayla Abner (Sam), Hunter, Conner, Andrew Berry, Anthony, Jake, Cory, Grayson Gower, Adeline Devore, 2 great-great-grandchildren, Kennedy Tyrrell-Abner and Samuel Abner Jr.; sister Jewel Gilbert; along with a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd). Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Wednesday from 10:00am until the time of service at 12:00 Noon with cremation to follow.
