Marilyn Catherine Luckett

Mrs. Marilyn Luckett, age 80, of Brooks, Ky passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 30, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 17, 1945, to the late William Lichtefeld and Mary Catherine (Herrmann) Lichtefeld.  Marilyn was a loving and devoted mother, and granny, she was a very family orientated, and giving person. She was Catholic by Faith, loved flowers of all sorts, enjoyed spending time outdoors, was an avid University of Kentucky fan, loved Christmas, snow, and her friend and fur baby Milly Mae. Marilyn will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons Ronnie and Mike Luckett, 3 brothers, 1 sister.

She is survived by her 4 sons James Charles Luckett, Jr. (Vicky), Donald A. Luckett (Angie), Robert K. Luckett (Terri), David S. Luckett (Lisa), 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and one on the way. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear family and friends.

A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway). The visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 9:00 a.m.

until the time of service at 12:30 p.m. Burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery.
