

Maudie Marie Corley Hazelwood, age 81 of Hillview, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, with loving family by her side. She was born on August 17, 1941, to the late James Lafe and Dorothy Lorraine (Stinson) Corley. She was a member of Radiant Life Church of God in Shepherdsville. She was an avid Dr. Pol fan but her true enjoyment came from spending time and socializing with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Ed” Hazelwood; granddaughter, Amber Marie Hazelwood; great-granddaughter, Raelynn Hazelwood and brother, Donald L. Corley, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Ronald L. Hazelwood (Tammy); daughter, DeAnna Mingus (David); grandchildren, Amanda Hazelwood, Alexandra Hazelwood, Olivia Hazelwood, Joshua Coolidge, Kathleen Holt and Nathaniel Panter; great-grandchildren, Layla Ray, Shaelyn Woodson, Landen Woodson, Emma Brown, Summer Day, Autumn Day, Ella Hazelwood, Tink Logsdon, Chloe Clemons, Jordan Clemons and Abby Kendall; brother, James Corley (Stella); sister, Sharon Corley Panter (Patrick) and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 pm on Thursday, April 20, 2023, in the chapel at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy. in Shepherdsville) with burial in Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, from 1 pm until 8 pm, Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 10 am until 8 pm and on Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 9 am until time of funeral at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home.
