Mildred Blankenship

Ms. Mildred Blankenship, age 88, of Mt. Washington, KY returned to her Heavenly Father Monday, February 3, 2025. Ms. Blankenship was born on November 25, 1936, in Hyden, KY to the late Shelby and Armilda “Davidson” Smallwood. Mildred was a strong woman of Faith. She loved Gardening, and spending time outside. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family and spoiling her grandkids. Ms. Blankenship will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Shelby, Glenn, Velvet, Roena, Glenna, and Wilma; and granddaughter, Danielle. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Charles Blankenship Jr. and Tonya Healy (James); grandchildren, Jason, Sarah, Gabrielle (Adam), Christian, Jordan, and Hannah; great grandchildren, Anthony, Mikey, Aiden, Jordan, and Zayden; sister, Velma Chasteen; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home- Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Dr.) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 1p.m. until 8p.m. and on Tuesday from 9a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
