Monte Kevin Brown

Monte Kevin Brown, age 57, of Louisville returned to his Heavenly Father January 7, 2017. He passed away at his home after being paralyzed for 40 years from a football injury sustained prior to his senior year in high school. Monte was born to Harold and Ruby Brown on July 14, 1959. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Brown; grandparents, Marvin and Mattie Brown of Gleanings, KY, Charlie and Lillian Beard of Buffalo, KY. Monte leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Ruby L. Brown; sisters, Vickie Douthat (Mike), Sharon Passmore (Ron) and Karen Kopple (Jerry); nieces, Sarah Douthat and Jamie Bridwell (Brandon); great-niece, Stevie Douthat and great-nephews, Jacob and Michael Douthat, Danny and Kevin Bridwell. The Brown family wishes to thank Hosparus and all of Monte's caregivers, Jesse Herald, Rona Williams, Christina Slayton, Doris Overall (deceased) and a host of family and friends for his wonderful and loving care.
