

King, Paul Howard, age 73 of Shepherdsville entered eternal life September 1, 2016 at his residence. Paul was a brick mason by profession. He built race cars and drove them at Kentucky Fairgrounds and the Louisville Motor Speedway, built race cars that Michael Waltrip drove whenever NASCAR driver was racing at Louisville Motor Speedway, he also was crew chief. In 1999 he won several Championship with Rolland Isaac as the driver, an avid hunter, loved hunting as much as possible and racing in sportsman and late model division. Mr. King is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Huston and Frances King; and brothers, Terry, Charles, and Bobby King. He leaves to cherish his memory wife of 56 years, Cheryle Watson-King; sons, David (Sheila), Daniel (Geneva) Kings; grandchildren, Michelle Colts, Daniel King Jr., Ashley King, Sarah King; great granddaughter, Frankie Adkins; and siblings, Royce, Jerry, Michael, Loraine Cox, and Patty Bruce. Funeral Service will be conducted at 4pm Saturday September 3, 2016 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. and Brooks Rd) with cremation to follow.
