Raymond Ernest Schur

Mr. Raymond Ernest Schur, age 89, of Louisville returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Robley Rex VAMC.  Mr. Schur was born on February 27, 1930 in Aurora, Illinois to the late Fred Theodore and Edna Ida (Henker) Schur. He was a US Army veteran. Mr. Schur was in sales for Taystee Bread and then had his own delivery route for Pepperidge Farms. He retired from Brown Molding after 12 years of service. Mr. Schur was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church.

Among those who preceded him in death are his parents; brother, Eddie Schur; sister, Lucy Gain; and daughter in law, Karen Schur.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 65 years, Fern (Hatfield) Schur; daughter, Linda Gail Fowler (Randy); and son, Michael Ray Schur; grandchildren, Jessica Pooler (Chad) and Carrie Cowan (Jonas); brother in law, Bill Gain; Joan Schur and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 12 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment to follow in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 4 pm until 8 pm and on Monday from 11 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.www.subfuneralhome.com
