Rev. Ben Franklin Corley

The Reverend Ben Franklin Corley, age 68, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. He was born on February 17, 1952 in Louisville, KY to the late Ben and Anna Corley. Rev. Corley was an Associate Pastor at Valley Station Church of God. He also served as the young adult Sunday school teacher and the Wednesday night adult class teacher.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Joseph “Joey” Jones; brothers, Charles and James Corley; brother-in-law, James McIntyre; sisters-in-law, Betty and Jeanetta Corley.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 50 years, Belva Corley; daughters, Linda Akridge (Bill) and Donna Ammons (Gary); 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Tom Corley (Leigh), Jack Corley (Bev) and Shirley McIntyre.

Funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Tim Bass at 12 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Little Flock Baptist Church with burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at Little Flock Baptist Church. www.subfuneralhome.com
