Richard Edward Ballard Sr.

 Mr. Richard Edward Ballard Sr., age 68, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Mr. Ballard was born in Salina, Kansas on December 17, 1954. He was a member of Fairdale Christian Church, a former Boy Scout Scoutmaster and retired from DJ Inc.

Among those who preceded him in death are, his beloved daughter, Christy Carroll and his father, Carlyle “Bud” Ballard.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 49 years, Brenda S. Ballard; son, Rick Ballard Jr.; grandchildren, Brannon Ballard, Jenna Carroll, Blake Coffey and Autumn Coffey; mother, Joyce Ballard; brothers, Ray Ballard (Angie), Russell Ballard (Kristi) and Ron Ballard (Sandy); a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with inurnment to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of his service at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
