Richard William Doran Sr.

Mr. Richard William Doran Sr., age 81, of Shepherdsville, Ky returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Mr. Doran was born December 14, 1939 in Louisville, KY to the late Charles R. Doran and Josephine Kramer. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and served in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division.

Among those who preceded him in death are, his son, Richard William “Ricky” Doran Jr. and his brother, Charley Joe Doran.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mary Yvonne Doran; son, Tony Doran (Connie); daughter, Donna Doran- Stallings (Scott); sister, Mary Jean Pirouznia (Issa); brother, Mike Doran (Mary Sue); 5 grandchildren, Anthony, Brianna, Stephen, Matthew and Hollie; 4 great- grandchildren, Mason, Destini, Bailee and Gavin and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Sunday, January 17, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Sunday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
