Rita Joyce Weedman

Mrs. Rita Joyce Weedman, age 59, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, October 10, 2016. Mrs. Weedman was born on January 7, 1957 in Hart Co., KY to the late Carlie and Thelma Alvey.

Among those who preceded her in death include, her husband, Lindell Weedman; siblings, Paul Eddie Alvey and Cokie Baxter.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Jennifer Clements Carter, Becky Rojas (Eduardo) and Renee Weedman; stepsons, Tony and Rick Clements; grandchildren, Ashley Carter, Joey Carter, Shelby Smith, Austin Smith, Katie Risen, Emily Clements, Konnor Ashby and Kylie Lynn; siblings, Edna Mae Strange (Sam Strange), Jimmy Alvey, Leroy Alvey, Jean Alvey, Tommy Alvey (Shannon Alvey), Carlos Alvey and Dennis Alvey and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2016 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial at Hebron Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the funeral home.
