Robert Elder

Mr. Robert Elder, age 80, of Hillview, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Mr. Elder was born in Louisville, KY on September 24, 1940 to the late Leonard Elder and Irene Rodgers Elder. He retired from Hettinger & Shuck Inc. One of his favorite pastimes was sitting outdoors in his swing. He will be truly missed.

Among those who preceded him in death are, his granddaughter, Kara Ahl; brother, Bill Elder and sister, Peggy Beahl.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 58 years, Marsha Lee Elder; his daughters, Micheall Singer (Jim) and Melissa Dowdy (Wes); 6 grandchildren; 2 great- grandchildren and a host of other dear family and friends.

Visitation from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow.
