Robert Harold Hadley, Sr.

Robert Harold Hadley, Sr. age 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.  He was born on June 10, 1940, in Adair County, in Columbia, Kentucky, to the late Bart F. Hadley and Allene (Hale) Hadley. Robert worked at AAK as a production manager / director for 52 years and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, landscaping, gardening, and was an avid runner and cyclist in his day. He loved to read and was considered a lifelong learner. He valued education and most of all he was a family-oriented man. Robert will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Sally Hadley, sister, Carol Hadley, and grandson Elijah Howlett.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Rosalyn Rae Howlett (Chris), son Robert Harold Hadley, Jr., three grandchildren Chloe, Josiah, and Lydia Howlett, two brothers Dwight Hadley (Catherine), and Maxie Hadley (Kathy), along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 pm and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00pm.
