Roger was preceded in death by his loving parents Curtis and Velma Wilson, his younger brother Dennis Wilson, older sister Karen Wilson, and great nephew Carter Ballinger.
He is survived by his older brother Steven Wilson, nephew Jordan Wilson, niece Stephanie (Quinn) Ballinger, great nephew Asher Ballinger, and great niece Lydia Ballinger.
Roger was a 1978 graduate of North Bullitt High School. Roger will be remembered by his family as a wealth of knowledge and he loved to share it with all he encountered. He loved reading books, world history, and gardening. His love for his family was unmatched. He will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street Shepherdsville, Kentucky 40165 on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 11AM to 2PM. A funeral service will follow at 2PM.
