Rosielee Ritter Skaggs

Mrs. Rosielee Ritter Skaggs, age 87, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 5, 2021. Mrs. Skaggs was born in Stockholm, Kentucky on September 1, 1934 to the late Frank and Nannie Mae Ritter. She was a devoted member of Independent Baptist Church and she was a worthy matron of the Order of the Easter Star of Kentucky #252 Caverna Chapter.

Among those who preceded her in death are, her husband, Rev. Blane I. Skaggs; daughter, Carol Janette Skaggs; daughter, Brenda Dianne Browning; son-in-law, Ed Browning and siblings, Kenneth Ritter, Elize Ritter, Eugene Ritter, Leon Ritter and Nancy Bishop.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Glenda K. Logsdon (Greg) and Rick Skaggs (Pat); 9 grandchildren, Ryan Logsdon (Shana), Jason Johnson (Barbie), Joseph Johnson, Sonya Spears (Sean), Jamie Logsdon, Alicia Settle (Shawn), Lindy Marcum (Brad), Lita Horine (Tim) and Jeremiah Johnson; 13 great- grandchildren, Kaylee, Errik, Triston, Jordyn, Logan, Drew, G.W., Richelle, Adam, Brice, Abbi, Breaunna and Ireland; sibings, Tom Ritter and Rondell Ritter and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 16, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
