Stephanie Anne Houchens

Mrs. Stephanie Anne Houchens, age 44, of Louisville, retired to her permanent beach vacation on Friday, July 22, 2022. Stephanie was born in Louisville, KY on September 24, 1977. She was in management at Dominos, a passionate coach and volunteer for the Special Olympics and a treasured wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.

Among those who preceded her in death are, her grandparents, Robert and Marjorie Florence; father-in-law, Danny Houchens, Sr. and sister-in-law, Loretta Basham.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Danny Houchens, Jr.; her beloved children, Alexis Nalley, Patrick Nalley, Kaitlyn Nalley (Le), Hannah Ballard and Breanna Craig; grandchildren, Annabelle Delepierre, Maria Delepierre, Skylar Hoskins and one granddaughter on the way, Rosalee Jean Nalley; her mother, Teri Buchholz; siblings, Bobby Buchholz (Claire) and Kimberly Buchholz; mother-in-law, Lydia Aldridge (Ernest); sister-in-law, Renee Houchens; brother-in-law, Larry Morris (Jessica); her best friends, Amy Thompson and Tina Nalley; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm, Thursday, July 28, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday from 12:00 pm until the time of her service at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Special Olympics or to the Autism Society of Kentuckiana.
