Teresa Ann Mahoney

Mrs. Teresa Ann Mahoney, age 82, of Shepherdsville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father Monday, January 2, 2023. She was born in Athertonville, Kentucky on Monday, January 22, 1940, to the late George and Lucinda Calhoun. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Bobby Calhoun, Bill Calhoun, Anna Lou Jarrett and Pat Kessler.

Teresa was a Catholic by faith and a member of St. Aloysius. She retired after many years of service as an office assistant at Cedar Grove Elementary. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, cooking and fishing.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 65 years, James L. Mahoney; her children, James Mahoney Jr., Joseph Mahoney (Theresa), John Mahoney (Laura) and Jeanette Ostbloom (Mark); her sister, Mabel “Rita” Buntain; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; along with a host of other family members and friends.  

The family of Mrs. Mahoney has chosen cremation with a Celebration of Life at a later date. Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway Shepherdsville) has been entrusted with arrangements.
