Grandma, thank you so much for everything you did for us.  Your love and hospitality always made us smile, and your hugs kept the whole families' hearts warm. You will live forever in our minds.   We miss you and love you.

Aunt Vel, you were the one that would always embrace me, you taught me about the lord and would carry me to church with you and mee-maw. You were always so kind and loving, and willing to discuss anything. You were my confidant as a little girl, you told me that everything would be ok, and in the end it was. Your spirit was undeniable, and you love for the lord was evident. You have truly been missed over the course of the years, but you have always remained present in my thoughts. I will miss you!!!! Aunt Velma, you will forever stay in my heart and memories. Thank you for all the love and kindness throughout the years.

I never got a chance to meet you but I feel like I knew you.  Your daughter Kim loved you beyond belief and she will sorely miss you.  Rest in Peace.

I fondly remember playing in her backyard as a child with Scott. Hugs every time I've seen her growing up. She was a great and kind person. She was like a third grandmother. I wish I could have seen her more often. She will be missed but never forgotten,  heaven got another amazing angel.

Some of my best childhood memories are with grandma (Velma) such an amazing woman who made an amazing impact on my life. My condolences to the whole family.

For Aunt Vel who helped my family so much and took care of my daddy, Fred, her ailing brother.  She brought faith, peace and comfort to daddy's household which wasn't present when Aunt Vel wasn't there.  She was so special and knew how to share the love that our Lord gave her.  Aunt Vel was so proud of all of her children and grandchildren and loved them perhaps more than they know.  She loved us all (her grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews) and showed us the kind of acceptance and love that most people are unable to give.  She supported my sister, Claudia, though tough times and gave us all respite.  She was one of the most giving, selfless people I know.  We have lost an angel on earth but I know she is enjoying the reunion in heaven that God promised us. all should we believe.    We won't be the same without her but she has led the way home.

One of the two who most influenced my spiritual journey to find Christ. She encouraged me in her own ways to study and find truth. If two words were used to describe her it would be humility and hospitality. Her home, where ever she lived or was at the time, was always warm and welcoming. She listened, cared and blessed us all. She brought us together. How man lives are touched by one person. A Godly woman who had compassion and hated no one. We will miss you. Say hello to Trinity for us.

I have such great memories of you, Aunt Vel!  Thank you for showing me how to be a great Aunt!  Love to all your family!  Hugs to my mom, she loved you so much!  Until we meet again...

So many great memories run through our minds. The love that you shared with us and our family will never be forgotten.  You will always be in our thoughts.  WE LOVE YOU.

You will be deeply missed, I love you so much....

Till we meet at Jesus Feet. a short goodbye, one day we will be together , because of the bond we have in Our LORD and SAVIOR Jesus Christ and our eternal faith we  both share in him thanks for being here for   me.
