Vickie Jo Beard

Vickie Jo Beard, age 68, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. She was born on November 8, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky to Eugene Garland and the late Mary (Ford) Johnson. Vickie attended Little Flock Baptist Church. She loved to read, her favorite being romance novels. She enjoyed little “day” vacations with her husband where they would get away, even if just for a day, to enjoy being together. She also enjoyed gatherings with her family, but her true passion was her grandchildren; spending time with them and making memories is what Vickie held most dear to her heart. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Allie Loyall.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Edmond “Eddie” Beard; daughter, Jennifer Beard; son, Christopher Petzold; grandchildren, Ava Lucas, Rylie Johnston and Sawyer Johnston; father, Eugene Johnson as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 12:00 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Buffalo Cemetery in Buffalo, Kentucky. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 1:00 until 8:00 and on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 9:00 until the time of service at the funeral home.
