Vita Kay Carlton

Mrs. Vita Kay Carlton, age 81, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 12, 2020. Mrs. Carlton was born in Fentress County, TN on September 15, 1939 to the late Hiram and Nova Green. She was a member of Little Flock Baptist Church.

Among those who preceded her in death are, her son, Lyndon Wade Carlton; sisters, Helen Lowery and Agnes Rogers and brothers, Bill Green, Willard Green and Perry Green.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of almost 60 years, Murl Carlton; daughter, Lisa Campbell (Jay); grandsons, Carter Campbell (Kaitlin) and Spencer Campbell; sister, Jewell Winningham; brother, Jerry Green (Jane) and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Hebron Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
