Wade Ray Scroggin

Mr. Wade Ray Scroggin, age 63, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on July 2, 2025, in Madeira Beach, Florida while on vacation with his loving family. Wade was born in Louisville, KY on June 27, 1962. He was a roofing contractor by trade and took great pride in his work. Beyond his profession, he was a devout Chrisitan with a faith foundation that guided him every day. He was an avid sports fan and passionately followed the University of KY and University of Louisville. Most importantly, he was a devoted and unwavering husband, father, son, brother and uncle.

His cherished daughter, Sabra Nicole Scroggin; grandparents, W.T. McAllister, Louise Bentley and T.C. Bentley; mother-in-law, Linda Sparks and Linda’s husband, Uriel, preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Laura Lynn Scroggin who has been by his side since 1990; his son, Landon Wade Scroggin; mother, Brenda Lou Miele (Joseph); father, Frederick Delano Scroggin; brother, Perry Scroggin (Terry); grandmother, Lou McAllister; aunt, Sue McAllister; niece, Taylor Eden (Stacey); great-niece, Parker; great-nephew, Palmer; father-in-law, Everett Estes (Juanita); brother-in-law, Steve Branham; uncle, Martin Bentley (Mary); and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 14th at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Dr., Mt. Washington) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday, July 13th from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of his service at 11:00 am the funeral home (123 Winning Colors Dr., Mt. Washington)
