Wilbur D Johnson, Jr.

Mr. Wilbur D. Johnson Jr, 90, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on October 23, 2020. Mr. Johnson was born on January 1, 1930 in Waynesburg, Kentucky to the late Wilbur and Doris “Rockwood” Johnson. Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his brothers, David and Douglas Johnson; grandchild, Nathan Johnson; and infant son, Anthony Joel Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 70 years, Marcella “Padgett” Johnson; sons, Jonathan, Christopher (Kathy), Jeffery (Stephanie) Johnson; his daughter, Julia Johnson; sister, Gertrude McAninch, brother, Danny Johnson (Linda); grandchildren, Jonathan Johnson, Jr. (Margarita), Jeremy Johnson, Jennifer Butler (Chris), Andrew Johnson (Marchele), Matthew Johnson (Taylor), Madeline, Zachary, and Alexandria Johnson; 8 great-grandchildren; and  2 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church (5708 Preston Hwy.) on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 7:00pm. Visitation will be held at two locations, Bethlehem Baptist Church, Monday, October 26, 2020 from 3-7 pm, and at Pleasant View Baptist Church (13571 KY-1247, Waynesburg, KY) on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 11 am-1 pm with funeral service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery, Waynesburg, KY.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church.
