William (Bill) Myles Carroll Jr.

William (Bill) Myles Carroll Jr., age 70, of Taylorsville, KY, formerly of Louisville, KY entered eternal life suddenly at home on Thursday, February 18, 2021. Bill was born in El Paso, TX on May 17, 1950 to the late William M. Carroll Sr. and Juanita Hagan Carroll Bishop. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He has been an employee at International Rubber Industries (where he met his wife), General Electric, STM, NTS and later retired from Our Lady of Peace in the Engineering Dept.

Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nanny and Pappy; his parents, William and Juanita and his brother, Bruce Carroll.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 44 years, Vanessa D. Carroll (Hester); children, William (Billy) Myles Carroll, III (Laura) and Sloane Carroll; grandchildren, Jane Ann, Molly Beth and Mark (his buddy); sisters, Patricia Wells (John), Linda Silcox (Gene) and Marlene Smith (Mike); nieces and nephews, Kathy, John, Julie, Karen, Becky, Holly, Andy, Paul, Kimberly and Carley along with a host of great nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with entombment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
