William R. Gatlin

William R. Gatlin, 79, of Hillview, returned to his heavenly father on Friday, August 19, 2016. Mr. Gatlin was in the Air Force for 11 years, a retired Fort Knox civil servant, and a member of Maryville Baptist Church. Among those who proceeded him in death were his parents, Elsie and Mamie Gatlin; sisters Francis Bolin, Adeal Meench and Margie; brothers Herbert and James Gatlin. He leaves to cherish his memories are his wife Laurel Jean Gatlin; children, Julie Joiner (Jimmy), Cheryl Fraley (Bobby), Larry Joe Adcox (Vicki), and Richard Adcox (Laura); grandchildren Kristain, Cassie, Shannon, Mollie, Stevie, Rickie, Amanda, Travis, Tara, Sabra, and Cody; 16 great grandchildren; two sisters, Ella Mae Ferguson, and Shirley Shultz; and two brothers ,Bobby and Wayne Gatlin.

Funeral service will be conducted at 6:30 pm on Monday, August 22, 2016 in the chapel of Shoppenhorst, Underwood, and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Road) with interment in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Ky. on Tuesday at 10:00 am.
