William A. Pike

Mr. William A. Pike, age 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. He was born on January 30, 1945, in Pewee Valley, Kentucky to the late John B. Pike and Essie (Carey) Pike. Bill retired from General Electric after 14 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, traveling to places like Florida, and Germany, and taking cruises, just to name a few, he also loved sports of all kinds if it had a ball. He was a University of Louisville fan and liked the University of Kentucky. Bill will be truly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Donald, Charles, and John Pike. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 58 years, Susan (Bell) Pike, his son, John Pike (Christianna) his two grandchildren, Caitlin Barnard-Petro, Shelby Pike, four great-grandchildren, Annaleigh Barnard, Karleigh Barnard, Liam Barnard, Zaylee Barnard, one brother, Joseph Pike (Vickie), along with a host of nieces and nephews and other dear family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd). Family and friends can pay their respects on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 8 :00 p.m. and again Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
