William "Bill" Zimmerman

Mr. Zimmerman was born January 28, 1944 in Louisville to the late William and Frances Zimmerman. He was a United States Air Force veteran and retired from the University of Louisville after 32 years as a janitor. Mr. Zimmerman enjoyed working on cars, doing things for people and was an avid U of L fan.

Among those who preceded him in death include his wife, Freda Zimmerman and grandmother, Lillian Hibbitt.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Lillian Langston (Mike), Gale Zimmerman (Todd) and Dale Zimmerman (Cindy); nine grandchildren, one great grandson; brother in law, Homer Holland and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at noon on Monday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd., use John Harper entrance) with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Friends may pay their respects on Saturday from noon until 8:00 pm, Sunday from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Monday at Schoppenhorst.

Expression of sympathy may be made to the family of Mr. Zimmerman.
