

Funeral Mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Shiner, Texas and will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner, Texas with Father Kirby Hlavaty officiating. Interment will follow at the Shiner Catholic Cemetery in Shiner, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel with Marvin Oehl officiating.
Barbara was born on August 30, 1938 in Shiner, Texas. She was the daughter of Alphonse and Viola (Miculka) Jalufka. She married George Janak on August 24, 1957 at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner, Texas. Barbara enjoyed sewing and embroidering. She liked to travel and visit with her family. Her favorite trip was to Alaska, and traveling to foreign destinations. She worked in the insurance industry for more than 35 years.
She is survived by two sons; Mike Janak and his wife, Anita of Sugar Land, Texas, Chris Janak and his wife, Lisa of Houston, Texas, one daughter; Diane Krejci and her husband, Tom of Pearland, Texas, one brother; Dennis Jalufka and his wife, Kathy of Pearland, Texas, three grandsons; Matthew Janak of Sugar Land, Texas, Nick Janak of Oregon, Travis Krejci of Pearland, Texas, three granddaughters; Tiphanie Janak of Sugar Land, Texas, Kristin Janak of Houston, Texas, Amanda Krejci and her fiancé’ Jared Schubert of College Station, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Alphonse and viola Jalufka, her husband; George Janak, one son; Robert Janak, and one brother; Anthony Jalufka.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Janak will be: Matthew Janak, Travis Krejci, Terry Gonzales, Steve Milner, Jeff Casbeer, Tim Greene, Mark Jalufka, and Philip Jalufka.
