Charlie was a dear friend of ours. He would go out of his way after the 5 PM Saturday evening Mass to come and visit with us a while. He was so caring, friendly, and was not so concerned about himself as he was for others. He showed his true love for God by walking all the way from his home to the church for services and for adoration time in the chapel. That was not an easy task especially in the latter years. My husband, Marvin, and I would be in awe as we heard his beautiful singing voice in church. God blessed him with many wonderful attributes that perhaps many failed to see or understand, but God knew. He was an apostle of Christ by showing in his daily life how to live as a true Christian. We'll miss you, Charlie. Our sympathy and prayers go out to the Kokas family.

I no longer live in Shiner but during the time I did live there, Charles walked by our house every day for years either going to or from the post office. If I were out in the yard, he would always stop and we would talk about the things that he was doing at the nursing home and how he loved to sing.
He would always speak of his brothers and how much he loved them.
Charles had such a sweet spirit and a very kind heart.

Charles was always friendly and ready to chat with a friend. He loved to tell stories and remember things that happened back when we were in high school. He was a true and caring person. I was lucky to have known him. Charles will be missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

Charlie was a sweet, loving soul who brought goodness and kindness to everyone he knew or met. His early departure will leave such a void for so many, but he deserved to go HOME. My love and sympathy to the Kokas Family.
