Earline Kroulik Hall, 88, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 in Conroe, Texas. Funeral Services are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home and will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Shiner, Texas with Reverend Nancy Littlefield officiating. Interment will follow at the Shiner City Cemetery.

Earline was born March 19, 1925 in Shiner, Texas. She was the daughter of Rudolph and Emily (Ritz) Kroulik. She was the youngest of three daughters. After graduating from Shiner High School, Earline attended Durham Business School in Austin, Texas. She was then employed by the Internal Revenue Service. Earline met Pete Hall, the man of her dreams, at the University of Texas “Friday Night Frolics”. They were married on August 15, 1948 at the Methodist Church in Shiner, Texas. Earline and Pete were married for 62 years and lived in Corpus Christi, Houston, Bangs, and San Antonio. They were blessed with three daughters, Susan, Carol and Janet, three wonderful son-in-laws, John Clarke, Dennis Berryhill, and Rodrigo Salinas, and seven amazing grandchildren, Brian Clarke(married to Skye Passmore), Scott Clarke, Blake Berryhill, Megan Berryhill, Lauren Berryhill, Sierra Salinas, and Olivia Salinas.

As a stay-at-home mom, Earline cared for her daughters, instilling strong work ethics, a love for life, and devotion to family. The Hall family was faithful members of their church and active in community affairs, always putting others first. Earline and Pete loved to travel the world, spent endless hours with their grandchildren, whom they adored, and blessed those around them with their wit, charm and generosity. Earline always loved sports of all kinds. During a volleyball game in a Bangs field with her grandchildren, Earline broke her finger. She went inside, put tape on it, and continued to play the game. This illustrates her strong desire to live life to its fullest, which she exhibited until she peacefully passed.

The family requests that Memorial Contributions be made “In memory of her husband, Aaron (Pete) Hall” to: Alzheimer’s Association / 7400 Louis Pasteur Drive, Suite 200 / San Antonio, TX 78229 and “ In memory of Earline Hall” to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society / Donor Services / P.O. Earline exemplified all the best in her life as mother, best friend, grandmother, wife. Her time on this earth made all of us better. We were fortunate to have her for so many years. She was always full of kindness and laughter and above all, love for her wonderful Pete and her daughters and family. Susan, Carol and Janet, you are her greatest legacy. We loved her so much, and have so many wonderful memories of our times together. Her spirit will live on in you and in our friendship. And though her loss will leave a sad emptiness, we will fill it with great memories of happy and loving times.

Earline was one of the sweetest ladies on earth and was so very special to my family. She made everyone around her feel loved and I loved spending time with her. She was my mom's life-long best friend. We will miss her very much.
