George was an outstanding mentor, dear friend, and a dreamer. A dreamer that could uniquely make his dreams come true. George was loyal to the core, you knew he was with you whatever the situation. We have laughed together, hurt together and cried together. I am going to miss hearing "hey babe" when I answer his calls to wish me a happy birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Mardi Gras and as recently as last month, happy St Patrick's Day and have a good parade. Thank you for all you did. I will miss you.

Mr. George was a gift to the fire service. He brought our training center to the highest levels possible. The Jefferson Parish Fire Training Center was a model to be copied. He guided all of us in Jefferson Parish Fire Service to amazing heights. He will be missed and remembered for the rest of my days.

George was a mentor and friend, he was influential in creating the Jefferson Parish Fire Academy where he helped build the Fire Service into the best trained in the state of Louisiana. Our Fire Service is and will always be indebted to George.
While I haven't kept in touch with George I think of him often and wish the best for his family. He taught me and many others volumes.

Mr. George adopted my grandmother Patt Inskeep, and myself when I was just a little thing. He called me his Patty-Cake... He will be so missed, he was an amazing man. I rest assured in knowing exactly where he is though. Love and Miss you already Mr.George.

Mr. Martinsen was such a jovial man and a beautiful soul. His presence alone made everyone smile. He and his wife passed on these beautiful traits to their children. Ramona and her siblings are blessed to have had such an amazing, God loving man as their father. May he rest in peace with our Lord in heaven.
