Funeral Service is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Shiner, Texas and will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Shiner, Texas with Father Jason Martini officiating. Interment will follow at the Shiner Catholic Cemetery in Shiner, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 7, 2015 with Deacon John Klapuch officiating

Margarito was born on February 22, 1949 in Calhoun County, Texas. He was the son of Ysidro and Manuela (Galendo) Rodriguez. He met Darlene Brunkenhoefer and stayed with her for 14 years before getting married in 2011. Margarito enjoyed going hunting and fishing, and watching the wildlife from his back yard. Margarito loved to BBQ, especially eating the BBQ. He collected Military and John Wayne Memorabilia. Margarito served three tours in Vietnam, and was assigned to Special Ops. He was discharged with the rank of Sgt.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Rodriguez, two daughters; Monique Martinez and her husband, Ernest of Victoria, Texas, Melissa Flores and her husband, Joe of Victoria, one son; Esidro Rodriguez of Rosharon, Texas, three sisters; Hope Villarreal of Corpus Christi, Texas, Geneva Luna of Houston, Texas, Manuela Clipper and her husband, Clarence of Houston, Texas, fifteen grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Ysidro and Manuela, one brother–in-law; Red Villarreal, and one grandson; Braidon Martinez.
