OBITUARY
Mildred Rebecek
June 3, 1925 – January 22, 2022

Mildred Clara Rebecek, age 96, of Shiner, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022. Mildred was born June 3, 1925 in Shiner, Texas to Lillie Stock Koenning and Adolph Koenning. Mildred was a longtime member of Dr. Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Shiner. Mildred was the circulation manager for the Bee Picayune newspaper in Beeville, Texas for 23 yrs. Mildred enjoyed Quilting and was a member of The Shiner Hertiage Quilters, she also enjoyed fishing, and gardening.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Buffington Funeral Home in Shiner, with burial to follow at Shiner City Cemetery in Shiner, Texas.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Lillie Stock Koenning, brothers, Lonnie Koenning, and Elton Koenning, sisters, Esther Braun, and Alice Pany.
Mildred is survived by their daughter Bobbie Rebecek of Houston, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Ronnie Koenning, Richard Sansagraw, Stas Moreno Jr. and Kenny Braun.
Mildred will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
