Selma Boehm, of Shiner TX, passed away on Tuesday, Sept 7, 2010 at the age of 92. Selma was born on August 28, 1918 to the late Fritz and Bertha Michaelis in Witting, Texas. Selma was married to Alfred Boehm on October 11, 1938 in Charlottenburg, TX. and they made their home in Shiner. Alfred and Selma had three children, two sons and a daughter. Selma worked at Kaspar Wire Works for many years. She was also a member of United Dr. Martin Luther Lutheran Church, a member of the Lutheran Ladies Auxiliary, T.L.H. Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. Selma served as a Chaplin for many years and also taught Sunday school. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother; Paul, and two sisters; Leona and Laura. She is survived by her sons; Ronald Boehm with wife Jan and Alfred Boehm Jr. and his wife Carrol, one daughter; Karen Winkler and husband Gilbert, 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010 from 9 am to 9 pm with a Prayer service being held at 7 pm at Buffington Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 am on Sept. 10, 2010 at Dr. Martin Luther Lutheran Church with Rev. Gomulka officiating. Burial will follow at Shiner Cemetery.
