Graveside Services are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Shiner, Texas, and will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at 4:00 pm at Shiner City Cemetery in Shiner, Texas with Andy Baker officiating. Visitation will be at Shiner City Cemetery from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2020.
Ann was born on January 1, 1946 in Hemphill, Texas. She was the daughter of Ronel McKinney and Julia Belle (Haley) Roberts. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, reading, and going shopping. She liked to go fishing when she and Glenn were younger. Ann liked taking care of her flower garden and making flower arrangements. She relaxed by coloring in coloring books.
Vera Ann Roberts married Glenn Wallace Roberts on July 25, 1969, (no relation to Ann’s family) at the Church of Christ in Eagle Lake, Texas. Through the years, Glenn and Ann took many roadtrips to various State and National Parks around the country.
Ann is survived by: two sons; Jeff Roberts and his wife, Betty of Needville, Texas, Jason Roberts and his wife, Leslie of Needville, Texas, one daughter; Julie Amos and her husband, Thomas of Needville, Texas, one sister; Merle Born of Needville, Texas, three grandchildren; Tristan Amos, Ian Amos, Keira Roberts and one brother-in-law; Ronel Roberts and his wife, Becky of Victoria, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; Ronel McKinney and Julia Belle Roberts, her loving husband of of 50 years, Glenn Roberts, and one brother-in-law; Perry Born.
