Throughout Barry’s life he has always been known for his humor, kindness, and generosity. He loved fishing, camping, playing the drums, both the New Orleans Saints and LSU Football, and NASCAR. Beyond that, he loved working in the garden. His hot peppers and tomatoes were his most prized plants .
Nothing ever lit the spark in his eye quicker or brighter than his fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Throughout the years--although he'd never admit it--he fostered a love for animals, but none was more special than his Golden Retriever “Harley".
For more than forty years, Barry worked in the tire industry. During that time his dedication to his customers, built on trust, inevitably turned into friendships.
Barry had a joke for every situation... if he could get through it. Ultimately, his warm laugh would take over. No matter if you ever heard the end of the story, you would leave entertained. His stories and his laughter will be sorely missed by so many.
John 21:6, 9
