Bennett C. DuBroc was born, with challenges that would shape most of his life including brain damage, partial deafness, and a heart condition. Much of his younger years were spent in special needs training facilities, with his journey taking him from Baton Rouge all the way to Indiana.
Although life presented Bennett with challenges, it never took away his ability to love, smile, and bring joy to those around him.
Bennett was genuinely kindhearted, good-natured soul who loved everybody- especially the pretty ladies! If you were lucky enough to know Bennett , you know just how easily he could melt your heart. He had a sweet smile and a childlike innocence that made him impossible no to love.
Bennett enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He had a particular love for cars, especially fast cars and classic muscle cars. He enjoyed rock and roll music, and if there was one thing he never turned down, it was a good meal! Eating was definitely one of his favorite pastimes.
Bennett was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Rhena and Paul DuBroc, and his sister Lisa Godeaux.
He leaves behind his daughter Tracy Metts, and her children, Katelynn Metts and Calee Birdwell.
He is also survived by his brothers, Dennis DuBroc (Jackie), Greg DuBroc, and Kevin DuBroc; his sisters, Tammy Wagner (Gary) and Sherri Roach (Thom); along with multiple nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will cherish his memory.
Bennett's life was not measured by the obstacles he faces, but by the love he gave and the hearts touched along the way. He reminded us that kindness, innocence, and a genuine love for others are some of life's greatest gifts.
Bennett was loved by many, and he will be missed more than words can ever say.
