Beth often bragged that her proudest achievements were in raising her two children: Allison Nicole Patterson and Chad Edmond Patterson, both of Shreveport. She had recently become a proud “Nana” and her face lit up at any mention of her children or her grandson.
In her prime, Beth was an avid reader and gardener. When she wasn’t at work, or tending to the needs of her family, she could often be found enjoying a book in the serenity of her back patio. She was a very caring and nurturing person and could easily put a smile on the face of anyone who passed her. She was also a very good listener and her advice was sound and always based on a foundation of love and respect for her family.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents: Leon Brown and Rowena Tuttle, both originally from Maine. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Charles Edward Patterson Jr. , a brother, Boyd Brown, her two children, a grandson and countless nieces and nephews. She was loved dearly by all who knew her.
A Memorial of Life ceremony is planned for Thursday, October 10th, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm followed by a private ceremony for family from 7:00 to 7:30 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home at 8801 Mansfield Road in Shreveport, Louisiana.
