Mrs. Betty Jean Scott Davis

Shreveport, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of Betty Jean Davis,83, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2015 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. A private family interment will follow the service. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time on Thursday.

Betty was born on August 14, 1931 in Longview, TX and passed away on June 1, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. Mrs. Davis was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a great friend who had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. Betty loved children, was an avid gardener and was dedicated to her faith and her Lord.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Blanchard Davis; daughter, Carolyn Davis; son, John Davis and one sister, Audrey Meador.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of Betty is her daughter, Trish Davis; grandchildren, Karly, Will and Josh; sisters, Helen Justice(Chuck), Harriet Carroll(Al) and Bennie Nelms(C.L.) and special friend, Bill Burns. Mrs. Davis is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
