Celebration of Life services for Betty “Sue” Hedgepeth, 64, will be held 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2011 in Centuries Memorial Chapel with Rev. Merrell McCoy officiating. Mrs. Hedgepeth will be laid to rest in Grand Cane Cemetery in Grand Cane, Louisiana immediately following the service. The family will be receiving guests for visitation Monday, January 3, 2010 from the hours of 5-7 p.m. at Centuries.
Mrs. Hedgepeth was born August 29, 1946 at B.A.F.B., Bossier City, Louisiana to the late Oliver Middleton and Vera Nadine Brossette Howell and was called to receive her wings December 31, 2010 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mrs. Hedgepeth will be remembered by those who loved her most as a loving wife, attentive mother, devoted grandmother, and respected friend.
Mrs. Hedgepeth is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother; Bill Howell.
Left to cherish “Sue’s” memory and tell her stories will be her beloved husband of eighteen years; Travis R. Hedgepeth, two sons: Blaine Vassar and wife Terry, and Bradley Vassar and wife Tonya, one daughter; Brandi McCoy and husband Lance, one sister; Jane Carter and husband James, five grandchildren: Kaleb, Sarai, Kyle, and Tyler Vassar, and Samantha Martin, along with numerous extended family members and many great friends.
Honoring Mrs. Hedgepeth as pallbearers will be Wilson Carter, Jason Carter, Lance McCoy, Shane Brooks, John Hedgepeth, and Shelby Taylor.
