Services to celebrate the life of Betty Lizzie Brown Sims, 77, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Chaplain Keith Rowe of Southern Care Hospice. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday evening between 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

Betty was born on August 27, 1933, in Gilliam, LA and passed away at her home in Keithville on Wednesday, December 22, 2010. She was surrounded by those whom she loved; her children and grandchildren. Betty loved children, was of the Pentecostal faith, and a member of the Church of God.

She was preceded in death by three of her children, Henry, Mary Ann, and Champ Sims; four grandchildren; Haley Jade and Brittany Sims, Rebecca Ann and Rachael Stone; six brothers, Paul, Jessie, Amos, Perry, Henry, and John Brown; one sister, Mary Brown; son-in-law, Bob Parker; and parents, Henry and Rose Brown. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Helen Parker, Delores Stone Barron and husband, Steve, Linda Sims, Martha Sepulvado and husband, Billy, James Sims, Jimmy Sims, Roy and Helen Garcia; Richard Lee and Janie Sims, Frank Sims, Michael and Amber Sims; brothers, David Brown and wife, Bobby, Willie Brown and wife, Paula; sister, Frances Brown; 33 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Steven Knotts, Thomas and Mark Stone, Jimmy, Rodney, and Richard Sims, Steven Sepulvado, Jimmy Lout, and Shawn Glidewell
