Billie DeYoung

Billie enjoyed the simple things in life; morning devotions with coffee, working in her flower beds and feeding the neighbors dogs and cats. She also enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with friends.

She has a family who will forever cherish her memory: her son Dennis DeYoung (Tina) and daughter Denette Johnson (Chuck), her sister Mary Ann Wade (Dale) and five grandchildren, Daniel DeYoung, Samuel DeYoung (Melissa) ,Darlene DeYoung, Rachel Johnson and Jack Johnson and three great-grandchildren, Samantha, David and Hudson. Her niece Melinda Owen and nephew Doug Hanna.

She is preceded in death by her mother Catherine Dunn and Father Bill Schaefer and her sister Thelma Hanna. 3

A visitation will be held September , 2026 from 5pm - 7pm at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home and Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to the caring staff of The Blake Memory Care Center, Passages Hospice and Professional Sitter Services. Their compassion and care for Billie in her final days brought comfort to her and her family. A special thank you to her dear friend and neighbor Lucinda Bledsoe for assisting with donations to various charitable organizations on behalf of Billie and her family.
