

Shreveport, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of Bobbie L. White, 87, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral. Officiating will be Bro. John Harpe of Brookwood Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. White was born on August 15, 1928 in Castor, LA to John Floyd White and Leone Lawson White and passed away on May 21, 2016 after a brief illness. He attended school in Castor and graduated high school in 1945. He moved to Shreveport with his beloved wife Nell and has been a resident for 71 years.
He worked at Universal Mfg. Co., later known as Gym-Dandy and C.B.S. Toys located in Bossier City, LA for 35 years. He was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church.
Mr. White was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Nell Parrish White.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Mr. White are his two sons, Douglas L. White of Shreveport and John David White and wife Jana of Flower Mound, TX; four grandchildren, Brandy Cook White, Maghan Nicole White, Allyson Taylor White and Hayley Michele White. "Pop" as he was known to them, loved and adored these girls. He is also survived by one sister, Marjorie White Tucker of Baton Rouge, LA.
