Bruce Leaval Acree

Bruce Leaval Acree, 61, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana, after a brief illness. Bruce was born in Shreveport on May 19th, 1963, to Earl "Bill" and Elsie Acree. In 1988, Bruce began his distributing career with Mrs. Bairds Bread. In 1995, he started working for Little Debbie and has built a successful business over the past 29 years. Bruce is survived by his wife, Leslie; daughters Amber Acree and Alison (Austin) Gray and stepson Jared Schonfarber; grandchildren Ryleigh Cliburn, Sydney Gray, Brooklyn Acree, and Carson Gray He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Elsie Acree. Bruce will be remembered by his infectious smile, humorous attitude, and his love for his family. Bruce enjoyed cheering on Jeff Gordon, spending time with his grandchildren, collecting unusual treasures, riding motorcycles, and long naps. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 20th, at Centuries Memorial Park from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor John Harp on Wednesday, August 21st, at Centuries Memorial Park from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by burial.
