Carilyn W. Wallace, 90, passed away on July 12, 2026. Born on January 31, 1936, Carilyn lived a life rooted in faith, compassion, and service. She devoted herself to caring for others and sharing her deep commitment to her church, family, and community.
One of Carilyn's greatest joys and accomplishments was serving as the Director of Religious Education at St. Catherine of Siena and St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church. She fulfilled this calling with dedication, joy, and unwavering faith, inspiring countless children, families, and parishioners throughout the years. Her kindness, wisdom, and servant's heart left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Outside of her ministry, Carilyn found happiness in life's simple blessings. She loved baking homemade bread, playing the piano, and, above all, spending cherished time with her family. Her warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love created lasting memories for those fortunate enough to know her.
Carilyn is survived by children; Eddie Wallace (Cindy), Diane Landers, Pam Wallace (Dwain), George Wallace (Diane), Charles Leslie Wallace, Julie Slupe (Kevin), Laura Maxwell, and daughter-in-law Karen Wallace, along with multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Carilyn was preceded in death by husband Robert Donald Wallace; child Robert Donald Wallace Jr.; father Charles Weed; mother Ivy Weed; and son-in-law Bob Landers.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church, 1050 W. Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, Louisiana 71118.
Burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana, in Veterans Garden #2, Lot 42, Space 1.
Carilyn will be remembered for her steadfast faith, generous spirit, and the love she shared so freely with her family, friends, and church community. Her legacy of service, compassion, and devotion will continue to live on in the many lives she touched. Though she will be deeply missed, her example of faith, kindness, and selfless love will remain an enduring source of comfort and inspiration for all who knew and loved her.
