Catherine Johnston Holyfield was born December 19, 1941 in Minden, LA, She went to be with her Lord March 23, 2021 in Shreveport. Mrs. Holyfield worked as a nurse, working for many years for Dr. John Leopard. She was a Minden High School Grad and a member of Pinecroft Baptist Church for more than 50 years. She loved gardening and spent her retirement years working in her flowerbeds. Mrs. Holyfield is preceded in death by her parents, Adolf and Catherine Spitzfaden; her husband, Howard; a sister, Judy Crayton and her dog, Lucky. She is survived by her sons, Brian Holyfield and Robert Holyfield and wife Melissa; granddaughters, Miranda and Katie Holyfield; a sister-in-law, Betty Jo Herzog; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. A service celebrating the life of Catherine Johnston Holyfield will be held Friday, March 26, 2021, 10:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Brother Cecil Marr. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 4 until 6 pm at the funeral home.

My Aunt Kitty. What can I say. I've always been told how much I looked like her. She was always so cheerful and had the sweetest laugh. She would always be so happy to see me when we visited. I love you Aunt Kitty. Till we see each other again
