Keithville, LA Charles Aulden Berthelot, Jr. went to be with his Lord on April 4, 2014. He was born November 22, 1957 in Shreveport. He graduated from Woodlawn High School and received a Bachelor Degree as well as an Associate Degree from Northwestern State University. He was an independent Milk Distributor for Foremost Dairy for more than 31 years without a single sick day. Chuck was member of the Booth Masonic Lodge, El Karubah Shrine (Sandman Unit) and the Royal Order of Jesters. He also was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Chuck is survived by his wife, Suzanne Slater Berthelot; his son, Cody Kevlin Berthelot and wife Michelle; his daughter, Karly Berthelot Harper and husband Jared; mother, Shirley S. Berthelot; father, Charles A. Berthelot, Sr.; grandchildren, Kennedi Berthelot, Madison Nguyen and Kayden Harper; brothers, Chris Berthelot and Chet Berthelot and wife Debbie; an uncle, Evan Steinhauser and wife Vickey; other relatives and a host of friends. A funeral service for Chuck will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2014, 1:30 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Eric Johnson and Pastor Rick Edmonds. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 5 PM until 7 PM at the funeral Home. Pallbearers are Donnie Tynan, Bill Bagley, Bobby Brown, Chet Berthelot, Chris Berthelot and Jared Harper.

I had the honor of coaching Chuck at WHS and he was a joy to be around. He made up any lack of ability with the heart of a winner! I feel better for having known Chuck and feel the world has been a better place for having known him. May God bless his family and embrace him now!

When I think of Chuck I think of him being my milkman. :), but also my friend! I was so sad to hear about his illness and now to hear about his passing. I'm sure he put up a good fight! He will be missed! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. May God see ya'll through this sad time.
