Pat is survived by his wife and best friend of 25 years, Jackie; sons Charles Christopher Middleton, Shreveport and Captain Brandon Patrick Middleton (USAF) of Las Vegas; granddaughters Sydney and Rebecca Middleton of Lake Charles; sister Sylvia Middleton Mitchell and husband, Lane, and Mike Middleton, wife Ellen; and stepson, Michael Teschner He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Charlie” Sr. and Willie Deo Middleton and grandmother, Sylvia Ferguson.
Pat loved to sail, bike and run – he participated in many races in Dallas, New Orleans and Shreveport. He began membership with the Shreveport Yacht Club at 18 years of age; later, he was the youngest elected Club Commodore (at the time). His second hobby was their Rottweiler Honey and their wonderful rescued dog Rusty.
Graduates of LSU-Shreveport, Pat and Jackie met there during night classes. In recent years Pat acquired his Real Estate Broker license. He retired from Bell South Telephone in 1997 with 30 years of service. He began a second career with Southwestern Bell Telephone in Dallas (currently AT&T). Much of his career was in sales and marketing. In 2008 he was assigned as a corporate real estate territory manager for AT&T.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 18th from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, July 19th at 11:00 a.m. Visitation and services will be at Centuries Memorial Cemetery, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108.
Pallbearers will be nephews Michael Mitchell and Carter Mitchell, friends Dennis Poljak, Davor Poljak, Ray Welch, and Sammy Fertitta.
